The Rutherford Arts Alliance is now accepting entries from member artists for an exhibit at the Murfreesboro City Hall Rotunda later this year.
The Science of Creativity exhibit is scheduled for October 19 through November 17, 2021. An Artist Reception and Tennessee STEAM Festival event will be held Wednesday, October 20.
The submission deadline for art is September 19.
About the Theme
This theme can be interpreted broadly to explain creative processes, innovation, science or science fiction. Questions to consider:
Is creativity a gift given only to a chosen few? Or is there creativity within everyone waiting to be developed?
Are there really any truly original ideas?
Can you study, practice and refine your creative skill?
Do artists have more curiosity, tenacity, intelligence or a greater ability to retain large amounts of information?
Are artists more willing to experiment, push new limits, challenge conventions and connect knowledge in other fields and current events?

Submit to this juried exhibition at this link on Submittable no later than September 19, 2021.
