Board opportunities

Our county is bursting with arts and culture opportunities, and we need your help to guide these efforts! We are adding an at-large member to the board and filling a vacated Vice Chair’s position. We would value your input. If you or someone you know is interested in these positions described below, please let us know. The deadline for submitting names is November 27. We will then circulate the names and bios of nominees for paid members to vote in December. Nominees must be paid members by the nomination deadline. Since we are filling these positions mid-cycle, the term for these two positions will be for the remainder of the cycle, rather than the full 2-year term.This will keep these board members in sync with the current board members.

Executive Board members are expected to be active in board work.

Terms (Normal term is July 1 – June 30)

Executive Board members will serve a two-year term, with the exception of the Vice Chair and Chair who will serve for three years. The other positions of the Board may be nominated for a second term. After serving two consecutive terms, an Executive Board member will not be eligible to be elected to another board service term for two years.

Vice Chair

The Vice Chair will act in the absence of the Chair and is expected to take on the Chair role in the subsequent term. The Vice Chair is also responsible for the oversight of all administrative and legal matters. The Vice Chair also works closely with the Governance Committee and assists the Chair with strategic planning.

At-large Member

An at-large member will be elected who has a public relations expertise and who will oversee communications for the Alliance including the newsletter, press releases and web presence.
