Join us for our fall quarterly meeting! Our host will be the Dow Street Community Music School in Murfreesboro, where we’ll learn about this new space and 501c3 nonprofit organization. Both current and potential RAA members are invited to attend. As always, feel free to bring business cards, flyers, or other news of your own arts practice or organization.
About our speakers
Opened in spring 2023, Dow Street Music provides music instruction to children and adults in a community music school setting. Founder and MTSU violin/viola professor Dr. Andrea Dawson will talk about the vision for the school and the various kinds of music instruction offered there. She and Dr. Jill Austin, operations manager for the school, will also give a tour of the seven newly renovated teaching rooms for individual lessons as well as the group lesson space and the performance hall that seats 90 people.
Dow Street Music also offers need-based scholarships so that students of all backgrounds will have access to the many benefits of playing a musical instrument.
About the venue and parking
Dow Street Community School is located at 1272 Dow Street, not far from the MTSU campus and the downtown Square, in Murfreesboro. There is plenty of free parking available at the building.
