Grab some chalk and get creative! The Boro Art Crawl Sidewalk Chalk Contest will be held on Friday, September 15, in collaboration with The Boro Art Crawl and Main Street Friday Night Live Concert. Participate in this free contest, maybe win some prizes, and help us bring more attention to the arts!
Official check-in for the contest is at 3:00 PM, but artists may begin drawing as early as 8:00 AM as long as they have their predetermined spots.
Artwork must be completed by 6:00 PM.
Judging occurs from 6:15-7:00 PM.
At 8:00 PM, an awards ceremony will be on stage by the Rutherford County Courthouse during the Friday Night Live Concert.

Youth (6-13) and (14-17)
Amateur Adults (18+)
Professional Artists (18+)
Prizes:
1st place Early Youth (6-13)
1st place Older Youth (14-17)
1st place Amateur Adult
1st place Professional Artist
Gift cards will be awarded to winners.
Rules, Registration, and Other Details
Registration: There is no entry fee, but pre-registration is required at https://bit.ly/BoroChalkArt by September 1.
Artists: Bring your own - chalk, design, knee pads, grid/pattern, and other appropriate drawing materials.
Rules:
Only non-oil based washable chalk may be used.
Designs must not exceed assigned chalk space.
All artwork must be appropriate for public viewing by all age groups.
No political messages, words or symbols intended as advertising or promotion may appear.
