The Rutherford Arts Alliance is partnering with Saturdays at Todd, an event series from the MTSU Department of Art and Design, to present two events with artist Robyn Rainwater.

Encaustics Workshop

From noon to 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 19, explore painting with hot wax colored with oil pastels and layered with images and color. We will work on two small paintings. Collage and image embedding, as well as using oil pastels and sticks, will be demonstrated. Please bring any collage elements or laser printouts of any images that speak to your own aesthetic along with your curiosity!

Art Talks Presentation and Todd Art Gallery Opening

Following the workshop, at 2:00 PM, the public (ages 21 and up) is invited to join Robyn in the Todd Lecture Hall, Room 204, for an Art Talks presentation, demo, and Q&A. Wine and cheese will follow in Todd Art Gallery, Todd Hall, Room 224A. Meet Robyn, mingle with members of the RAA’s visual arts interest group, and enjoy the opening of the Goñi Montes exhibit.
