Rutherford Arts Alliance Announces Needs-Based Arts Scholarship Opportunity for K-12 Students

The Rutherford Arts Alliance has created a scholarship fund, initially funded by a grant from the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, to provide musical instruments/rentals, art supplies, & fees for economically disadvantaged students in grades K-12 in Rutherford County, Tennessee.

The purpose of the scholarship is to aid in the removal of some of the financial barriers that prevent students from participating in school arts programs, including but not limited to band, chorus, theater, visual, literary, culinary, graphic, and other media.

Scholarship awards are capped at $100, and students are eligible to apply once per school year. When awarded, funds will be paid/payable directly to the vendors providing the goods or services. Funds will not be made payable to teachers, students, or guardians.
