October meeting: Let's Dance Salsa and Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

Have you ever wanted to try salsa dancing? This is your chance to learn how to salsa while celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. Experienced teachers Paco and Angela Ramos will be teaching Salsa dancing at MTSU on Tuesday, October 11 in Murphy Center Dance studio A.

Salsa dancing is one of the most popular dances in the world and is associated with the music genre of the same name. This class focuses on learning the basics of salsa timing, steps and style. All levels are welcome, and no partner is needed.

Also, as always, come prepared to share arts news from your own practice or organization! Flyers and business cards welcome. Whether you’re a RAA member or just interested in checking us out, we welcome you!

About our teachers

Paco and Angela Ramos are dance enthusiasts, instructors and advocates. The Ramoses have lived and worked in Murfreesboro for over 30 years and are the Directors of the MTSU Performing Arts Dance Company. Paco is a native of Puerto Rico and has danced all of his life. A Nashville native, Angela started dancing at the early age of three. In their decades-spanning careers, their love for teaching and dancing still brings pure joy. They find time to dance daily, mostly in the kitchen.

About the venue

We’ll be meeting in dance studio A in the lower part of Murphy Center. Park in the Murphy Center Greenland Drive lot .This Google map and/or this campus map may be helpful (look for the Greenland Lot near the blue building marked MC).
